The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) has announced that the water supply to several areas surrounding Middeniya Road and Hulandawa Bridge will be temporarily suspended for a period of 13 hours today (19).
According to the NWSDB, the interruption is required to facilitate essential pipeline-laying maintenance work being carried out near Hulandawa Bridge under the Embilipitiya Water Supply Scheme.
Accordingly, the water supply disruption will be in effect from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. today.
The NWSDB has expressed regret for any inconvenience caused by the temporary interruption and has requested consumers in the affected areas to store an adequate supply of water in advance and use available water resources responsibly throughout the suspension period.
