Dengue Prevention Week to commence islandwide today

A Dengue Prevention Week has been declared from today (15) until June 20 in response to the increasing risk posed by the spread of dengue fever across the country.

As part of this initiative, public places such as cities, drainage systems, commercial complexes, religious sites, and bus stations will be cleaned from today until June 17.

In addition, all educational institutions and their surrounding areas, including schools, pre-schools, and private tuition classes, are scheduled to be cleaned on June 18.

The cleaning of all public and private institutions, as well as factory premises, has been scheduled for June 19. Meanwhile, the cleaning of private residences and their surrounding areas will take place on June 20.
